Week 16

19th Apr 2022

This week has seen the end of our first round of user testing and a good amount of feedback from our users. We are working through the feedback and collating so we can be available to respond with fixes and improvements over the next sprint.

In terms of development, we have made some substantial progress on key app features this week. We have been working on expanding the task screens to view, edit and raise new tasks. This featured in our Show & Tell this week and was a good opportunity to see the user experience across some key screens that will be heavily used. As a result, we debated and agreed a way to tweak the experience for users to remove some of the friction caused by repeated network calls. This will be added to our next sprint.

We have also been busy setting up some of the technical features and admin screens. Any organisations adopting the app will need to deploy it according to their business case. We have seen satisfactory progress on the user admin screen, the app admin screen and task categories/groups. Following feedback from the first round of testing we are also working on a way to handle new users where a user record does not already exist, so the app experience is the same if the user is opening the app for the first.
